The Shepherd's Christian Centre for Spiritual Renewal Inc. is a Christian charitable organization which exists to provide a biblically-based study centre with resources for research and reference to promote life-long learning among pastors, evangelists, and other Church workers in Ghana, West Africa, and our international brethren.
The study centre when completed will have four units: library, conference hall, hostel, and administration block. The centre is located at Old Tafo in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa.
We would like to share that the project is still in its initial stage. We are presently fundraising for the construction of our first building, the library, on our land. We have a collection of books and other materials ready for use by our intended patrons.
Background: The task for the Christian Church since its inauguration is to "make disciples, teaching them what the Lord Jesus Christ has commanded." Throughout the centuries, pastors, evangelists, and other church workers have undertaken these tasks. Studying the Bible and other disciplines relating to the task of telling people about the love of God (making disciples) and teaching the believers to stay in their faith (discipling believers) then becomes significant.

A large number of Christian leaders in Ghana do not have access to appropriate literature and appropriate study environment to enhance their understanding and knowledge to aid the task of explaining and speaking to the tenets of the Scriptures.
In Canada, United States of America, Germany, Britain, for example, Christian leaders have great access to good resources and facilities (including technological gadgets) to help equip the army of Christ. As a result, effective tools for the spiritual battle are easily available. Less developed countries, such as Ghana and the neighbouring West African states, have minimal access to good resources and facilities to help equip the army of Christ in their quest to educate the populace and improve their spiritual and social well-being.
The Shepherd's Christian Centre for Spiritual Renewal Inc. proposes to meet this need by making available quality tools - resources and facility - to pastors, evangelists, and other church workers to enable them to provide competent and effective service to their community through effective education and the provision of materials to aid clearer understanding of the Bible. The facility will also be used by the local community for educational and community events, such as organizing literacy and counselling programs for the married, children, and youth in the locality.
